Lubricating oil, simply known as lubricant or lube, is a class of oil used to reduce friction, wear and heat between two mechanical components contact each other. Lubricating oil is used for these types of reasons: i. As a cleaning agent ii. As a cooling agent iii. Reduce wear between two mechanical parts iv. Making a sliding seal between cylinder wall and piston wall v. Keep the cylinder head cool There have more advantages. How lubricating oil  works in engine:  Oil is stay in Oil pan. Then oil in pumped and send to oil filter. Then oil is send to main Oil gallery. From their oil is send to camshaft and rocker shaft.

What is Limited-slip differential?

A Limited-slip differential (LSD) is a differential that allows it two output shafts at different speed but limit the maximum distance between two shafts. n an automobile, such limited-slip differentials are sometimes used in place of a standard differential, where they convey certain dynamic advantages, at the expense of greater complexity.

Choosing Between Mechanical Fuel Pump And Electric Fuel Pump?

Fuel Pump A  f uel pump  is a frequently (but not always) essential component on a  car  or other  internal combustion engined  device. Many engines (older motorcycle engines in particular) do not require any fuel pump at all, requiring only gravity to feed fuel from the fuel tank or under high pressure to the  fuel injection  system. Often, carburated engines use low pressure mechanical pumps that are mounted outside the fuel tank, whereas fuel injected engines often use electric fuel pumps that are mounted inside the fuel tank (and some fuel injected engines have two fuel pumps: one low pressure/high volume supply pump in the tank and one high pressure/low volume pump on or near the engine).  Fuel pressure needs to be within certain specifications for the engine to run correctly. If the fuel pressure is too high, the engine will run rough and rich, not combustion all of the fuel being pumped making the engine inefficient and a pollutant. I...

Any liquid-cooled  car  engine has a small device called the  thermostat  that sits between the engine and the radiator. ... When the engine is cold, no coolant flows through the engine. Once the engine reaches its operating temperature (generally about 200 degrees F, 95 degrees C), the  thermostat  opens. For maintaining engine temperature thermostat is essential for every car. It maintain the engine temperature. 

Compression rings and Oil rings in Piston

Compression rings and Oil rings plays an important role in Piston. During combustion it helps engine to function accurately. Function of compression rings: There have two compression rings. During combustion huge pressure create in cylinder. One compression ring can't hold this pressure. So, two compression rings are used in piston. Function of Oil rings: During combustion time oil from cylinder goes to piston surface. It creates deposit of carbon. Oil rings scrape oil from cylinder surface to crankcase.

Systems in an automboile

An automobile is consist of different system like : Power train system, Running system and Comfort system. These system help to drive the automobile. Power train system: Power-Generation engine: Engine, fuel system, intake system, exhaust system, cooling system etc are in this system. Drive line: This is known as power transmission system. Clutch, Differential, Gear box, Wheels/ Tyres , transfer case etc are in the system. Running system: Suspension, Breaking, Steering are in the system. Comfort System: Comfort system are system use for comfort. It can may be AC/Heater, Audio,Video system
